Order Citadel

Description

The Order Citadel is a special Castle that can be constructed by any Order. Within the Citadel, new buildings are constructed, special Studies are conducted, Championships are announced, and unique resources are produced. All these are necessary to strengthen and develop the Citadel.

The Citadel is surrounded by the Order Holdings. The Order members whose Towns are placed in this special territory get many additional bonuses.

Remember that the processes that happen in the Order Citadel cannot be influenced by:

  • Activated Boosts
  • Applied Hire Craftsman and Hire Scholar items
  • Bonuses from the Events window
  • Bonuses of the current Townscape
  • Bonuses for victory in the Kingdoms War and Kingdoms War: Retribution Tournaments

Important! Only the Order Master can demolish the Order Citadel. To do this, go to the "Building: Town Hall" window, to the Profile tab, then tap the "Demolish" button.

Note: the resources you spent constructing the Order Citadel will not be returned.

Constructing the Citadel

To view all conditions for constructing the Citadel, go to the My Order tab, the Order menu and select the Order Citadel section.

To construct the Citadel (as well as the buildings in it), the Order must have a certain amount of resources and Drafts. The latter are special items that can be purchased as part of Bank offers or in the Order Store using Personal Points. Alternatively, you can obtain them by attacking Alpha Assailants. Drafts are also required in order to conduct Studies in the Scholars' Hall and craft and upgrade traps in the Trap Workshop.

Note that the resources required to start construction are stored in the Order Master’s Town.

The Order Master needs to hit the "Add resources" button to replenish the resources in their own Town. Other Order members can send the required amount of resources and Drafts to the Master's Town by hitting the "Send resources" button.

Please note: if a Championship has been announced in the Arena, Lords can't send carts with resources and items to the Order Citadel. In addition, they won't be able to announce a Championship until all carts have returned from the Order Citadel. Read more about the Championship in the Championship section.

As soon as all construction conditions are met, the Order Master will be able to start the Citadel construction process.

Choose the location for constructing the Order Citadel wisely. Remember that if you cancel construction, the resources you have spent will not be returned, and you will be unable to relocate the Order Citadel. Moreover, the Order Citadel should be placed at a distance of more than 16 tiles from another Citadel.

As soon as Citadel construction starts, each Order member will be able to speed up the process. To do this, tap the “Boost” button and apply the Order Citadel Boost item.

Citadel Buildings

In the Order Citadel you can construct and upgrade the buildings listed below.

Town Hall

This is the main building of the Order Citadel, where you can view your statistics and other key information. Upgrade the Town Hall to be able to construct and upgrade other buildings, as well as increase the size of your Order Holdings and the number of bonuses they grant. When the Town Hall reaches level 5, the Hall of Glory tab appears in the building. Additional Studies can be conducted in this tab.

Scholars' Hall

Here you can conduct special Studies to enhance many important stats. Upgrade the Scholars' Hall to unlock new Studies and speed up the studying process.

Resource Warehouse

This building holds all the resources and Drafts sent to the Citadel by Order members, as well as special resources produced in the Citadel. Upgrade the Resource Warehouse so that each Order member can send more resources at a time.

Transformation Guilds

The Order Citadel contains buildings where normal resources are transformed into special ones: the Provisions Guild transforms Food into Rations, the Joiners' Guild – Lumber into Planks, the Blacksmiths' Guild – Iron into Cast Iron, the Hewers' Guild – Stone into Marble, and the Mint – Silver into Tokens.

Tribunal

The fate of Lords who are not members of your alliance but whose Towns are located in the Order Holdings is decided here. You can exile them, relocating them to a random spot on the Kingdom map. The higher the Tribunal level, the greater the area that falls under its influence.

Please note: after any Order member exiles an opponent from the Order Holdings, the Tribunal's function will be unavailable for a while.

The Arsenal

The Arsenal is the building where new Technologies are created. They allow Order members to craft special Hero's equipment in their own Workshops.

Arena

In the Arena, the Master and Counselors can announce Championships. During Championships, the Order members fight armies of other Lords and foreign troops in the Citadel. When the Arena's level increases, the foreign troops become more powerful.

In the Trap Workshop, the Order's Master and Counselors can craft and upgrade traps, which are needed to reinforce Fort defenses in the Battle on the Isles. This building can be constructed from the Order Citadel level 1.

To craft and upgrade traps, you will need transformed resources, Drafts, and Glittering Dust.

Hall of Glory

When the Town Hall reaches level 5, the Hall of Glory tab appears in the building. In this tab, Studies can be conducted that improve the military and economic stats of all the Order's members. The Hall of Glory itself also grants you bonuses.

Only the Order's Master can conduct Studies in the Hall of Glory.

Study categories in the Hall of Glory:

  • Towns
  • Raids and Attacking Castles
  • Espionage
  • Tier VIII Warriors
  • Defending Castles
  • Hero I
  • Hero II
  • Inquisitor I
  • Inquisitor II
  • Economics

Studies in the Hall of Glory can be conducted in any order. The process is instant and requires a special currency – Glory Points. Orders can earn these points by reaching checkpoints in special Tournaments and/or taking the top places in rankings.

Even if an Order hasn't built the Citadel or upgraded the Town Hall to level 5 yet, the Order still earns and accumulates Glory Points.

The upgrade cost for Hall of Glory Studies starts at the same level in all categories. Once the Order's Master has upgraded a Study from any category for the first time, this category's cost changes to level one, and the cost of upgrading Studies in the other categories increases to level two. Thus, if the Master upgrades a Study from the Towns category, the cost of upgrading Studies from the remaining categories – Raids and Attacking Castles, Espionage, Tier VIII Warriors, etc. – will increase.

When the Master upgrades a Study from one more category, the cost of upgrading Studies from the remaining categories increases once again, to level three. Let's say, in addition to the Towns category, the Master upgrades a Study from the Espionage category. In this case, the cost of upgrading Studies from the remaining eight categories will become even higher.

If the Order's Master decides to upgrade Hall of Glory Studies in all categories, the cost of upgrading the last one will be at level ten.

Prioritize upgrading Studies from the categories your Order needs most, because they will be cheaper.

You can view how many Hall of Glory Studies another Order has upgraded in the relevant Order's info window. If the marker isn't shown, the Order hasn't built the Citadel or upgraded the Town Hall to level 5 yet.

Upgrade Studies to the maximum level to increase the bonuses of the Hall of Glory itself. These bonuses are active all the time and affect all Lords in your Order.

Special Resources

Any Order member can send resources to the Citadel for transformation. To do this, go to the Port in your Town and select the Order Citadel as the recipient.

Resources delivered to the Order Citadel are kept in the Resource Warehouse until the Order Master or Counselors start the transformation process in one of the Guilds.

Remember that resource transformation can be:

  • Slower, but cheaper
  • Fast, but expensive

It is the Order Master and Counselors who decide which method to use to transform resources, depending on the Order's capabilities, available resources and time.

Remember: you cannot cancel transformation once it has started — you can only speed it up with Order Citadel Boost items.

Exiling from the Order Holdings

The Tribunal, which can be built in the Order Citadel, grants the ability to exile Lords who are not members of your Order or Pact from the Order Holdings. Upgrading this building increases the area of its influence.

To exile strangers, you need special items – Stamped Papers. You can get them by attacking Alpha Assailants or purchase them:

  • In the Item Store
  • In the Order Store for Personal Points
  • As part of Bank offers

If you have the required number of Stamped Papers, select a Lord’s Town that is located on the lands that are under the Tribunal's influence, then in a new window click the "Exile" button. After this action, the Town will be relocated from the Order Holdings to a random spot on the Kingdom map.

You cannot exile Lords if:

  • They relocated their Towns to another spot in the home Kingdom or to an enemy Kingdom during a worldwide Tournament
  • They have joined your Order or Pact
  • You have been exiled from the Order
  • The Master has demolished the Order Citadel
  • The Master has disbanded the Order
  • You have relocated your Town to an enemy Kingdom during a worldwide Tournament
Creating Technologies and crafting equipment from the Arsenal

New Technologies are created in the Arsenal. They enable each Order member to craft special equipment for their Hero in their own Workshop — equipment from the Arsenal.

In the Technologies tab, there are several equipment categories:

  • Helmets
  • Armor
  • Weapons
  • Shields
  • Talismans

Each category contains a list of Technologies that are sorted according to their status:

  • Unavailable
  • Being created
  • Available

To create a Technology, you need a certain amount of special resources along with Diamonds. You can get them by attacking Alpha Assailants or purchase them:

  • In the Order Store for Personal Points
  • As part of Bank offers

Only the Master and the Counselors can start the Technology creation process. Other members can reduce its time by using speed-ups for the Order Citadel.

After the Technology is created, all Lords who are members of the Order get a system message via Mail.

There are two ways to start crafting equipment from the Arsenal:

  • Go to the Technologies tab and tap the "Workshop" button in the available Technology field.
  • Go to the Workshop in your Town, tap the Equipment tab, select one of the categories (Helmets, Armor, Weapons, Shields, or Talismans) and then select the "Equipment from the Arsenal" subcategory.

There is a combination of four out of five possible components used to craft equipment from the Arsenal:

  • Standard material
  • Assailant's material
  • Standard equipment
  • Assailant's equipment
  • Equipment from the Arsenal
Championship

After the Order Citadel reaches level 4, the Arena will be available to be constructed. This building will allow the Master and Counselors to announce Championships, during which Order members can fight foreign troops and armies of other Lords in the Citadel.

To construct the Arena and conduct Championships, you will need a special item — Glittering Dust.

A Championship lasts for 1 hour from the moment it's announced. After the Championship is over, this function of the Arena will only be restored after a period of time. The Order Citadel cannot be attacked during this time.

When a Championship is announced, information about it appears in chats. Order members also get system messages in their Mail, at which point foreign troops, which come from various points on the Kingdom map, start attacking the Citadel.

The number of attacking troops increases with each new level of the Arena:

  • At level 1 only the Baronet's troops attack the Order Citadel
  • At level 2 the Baron's troops join the Baronet's troops
  • At level 3 the Viscount's troops
  • At level 4 the Earl's troops
  • At level 5 the Marquess's troops
  • At level 6 the Duke's troops

At all levels of the Arena, the scouts of foreign troops can attack your Order Citadel. Only your scouts fight against them.

For defeating foreign troops, you will get Trophies of Arms and points for killing warriors from enemy Kingdoms in the corresponding Tournaments.

Lords from other Orders can also attack the Citadel while the Championship is active.

You can send reinforcements to protect the Order Citadel at any time.

Please note: if your defense fails during a Championship, your Order Citadel won't lose anything except for its defensive troops.

The Marches tab in the Arena contains detailed info about troops attacking the Order Citadel during the Championship.

When the Citadel is being attacked, the march boxes are highlighted with a frame of the corresponding color. Foreign troop marches are highlighted in yellow, and marches of enemy Lords – in red.

If the enemy troops approach the Order Citadel, then the edges of the screen will be highlighted in yellow, or in red if an Order member's Town is attacked.

Please note the following:

  • You can attack the Order Citadel, perform espionage, and send resources and reinforcements to it only if it is located in the same Kingdom as you.
  • You can only announce a Championship in your home Kingdom.
  • You cannot disband an Order or destroy its Citadel while a Championship is active.
  • You cannot announce a Championship if the Order has been disbanded or its Citadel has been destroyed.
  • A Counselor cannot announce a Championship if they're currently being expelled from the Order or demoted.
  • If a Lord leaves their Order when a reinforcement troop is being formed, it will be impossible to send these troops.
  • When an ally is expelled from the Order, any troops they have stationed in the Citadel return to their Town.
  • If the Citadel defense failed, reinforcements will return to their Towns. They also will be dismissed if the Order has been disbanded or its Citadel has been destroyed when a Championship has not been announced.
Crafting and upgrading traps

Traps are used to reinforce Fort defenses in the Battle on the Isles epic Tournament.

Before a trap can be set, it needs to be crafted, i. e. upgraded to level 1 in the Trap Workshop. This building can be constructed from the Order Citadel level 1.

Only the Order's Master and Counselors can upgrade traps.

To do so, they need to go to the Traps tab and select the "Army Offense in Forts" category.

There are five trap types: against spearmen, cavalry, ranged troops, knights, and siege units. Traps are divided into three levels and differ in terms of the number and value of their bonuses.

After selecting a suitable trap, hit the "Upgrade" button. To upgrade a trap, you need transformed resources, Drafts, and Glittering Dust.

Once a trap has been upgraded to level 1, the Order's Master or Counselors can set it in a Fort. Subsequent upgrades will increase the trap's bonuses.
